Hexogon Solution Lights Up Supertrees For Gardens By The Bay 5th Birthday

Singapore (3 and 4 June 2017), Gardens by the Bay – The Supertree Grove comes alive this weekend with a show-stopping multimedia extravaganza in celebration of the Gardens’ 5th Anniversary.

The 20-minute show entitled "Gardens Extravaganza Special" proudly produced by Hexogon Solution, illustrates the story of the Gardens growth from birth to current, and how the Gardens overcame challenges. Audiences will be treated to a dramatic and colourful multisensory show featuring a large-scale digital projection on 8 iconic Supertrees, enhanced by pyrotechnics and special effects using blazing flames shooting out from the 22-meter high Skyway and thousands of dreamlike bubbles floating amidst from the audience toward the sky. Adding on to the visual spectacle, there will also be choreographed performances such as fire twirlers, high bar acrobats, aerialists, stilt walkers and bubble artists interacting with the audiences and synchronising their movements with music and colourful images projected on the Supertrees.

Gardens Extravaganza Special” will be a two-night-only evening showcase happening on 3 and 4 June at 7:45pm. For the rest of the month, “Gardens Extravaganza”, an 8-minute compressed version of the multimedia show with digital projection and light enhancement will be available daily at 7:45pm and 8:45pm from 5 to 30 June.

Adrian Goh, Group Managing Director of Hexogon Solution, and appointed Artistic Director of this multimedia extravanganza said, "Hexogon Solution is honoured to be part of the Gardens Turns 5 project. It took the team four months from conceptualization to final execution, and it took more than a week to install 32 units of high lumens Christie projectors, over 120 light fixtures, 20 units of flame projectors, other special effects equipment, and pyrotechnics to produce this multisensory show. We have previously projected onto the Supertrees during the Gardens’ 1st Anniversary in 2013, and hence with appropriate experience and tested techniques, setup and technical challenges were minimal even though the scale has tripled."

Ong Chui Leng, Director of Programming at Gardens by the Bay said, "We are delighted to work with Hexogon Solution for Gardens by the Bay’s fifth anniversary celebrations. With their expertise in creating a captivating multimedia show, our visitors can look forward to a magical experience at the Supertree Grove."

Hexogon Solution continues to remain at the forefront of digital projection using the most advanced equipment, and will continuously strive for new ideas to delight our clients and audiences.
