Hexogon Solution Invited By New Taipei City Government To Showcase Taiwan's Largest 3D Projection Mapping At New Taipei City Hall

TAIWAN (19 November 2016) – Hexogon Solution - an audio-visual, lighting and show integration provider was invited by New Taipei City Government to execute the largest projection mapping in Taiwan at New Taipei City Hall in celebration of Christmas. The opening night attracted more than a sea of spectators in the presence of New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu.

The 45 days projection commencing from 19 November 2016 to 2 January 2017 is the longest projection show duration in Taiwan. Showtime is from 17:30 to 22:00. The story of this projection revolves around the Fang Tou Bear (方頭熊) family (translated as the square-headed bear) Christmas adventures, where the Bears travelled to space and around the globe in search of a white Christmas. A myriad of festive images and colors adorn the façade of the building and a cone structure at New Taipei City Hall, covering a projection area of 5,239 square meters – size of a soccer field. A total of 42 units (9 units on the cone structure and 33 units on the building) of Christie Boxer 4K30 (30,000 lumens 4K) digital projectors provided intense colour and brightness to the images projected.

To further enhance the mood of this festive season, Hexogon Solution collaborated with Taiwanese Mandopop singer Jam Hsiao and his Lion Rock band, for part of the music that accompanied the two sets of 6-minute projection. This is the second collaboration with Jam Hsiao, as Hexogon Solution worked on the projection for Jam Hsiao's Triple JAM World Tour concert in 2015. Jam Hsiao, lead singer for Lion Rock band and his team members said, "The collaboration was seamless. Hexogon Solution understands our music well, and we displayed good synergy throughout this music compilation. The Lion Rock band is very proud to be part of such a large scale projection.”

Adrian Goh, Group Managing and Artistic Director of Hexogon Solution said, "We are immensely honoured to be given this opportunity to create this visual spectacular for New Taipei City Government. The challenges faced were the short turnaround time for content creation and graphic rendering. However, we have an in-house team that enabled us to work round the clock, and it is an accomplishment to see the final work presented. Hexogon Solution thrives on setting new records, and we are proud to be part of this achievement.''

Alex Tien, Managing Director of Hexogon Solution Taiwan, added, "Preparations took place since June. The unpredictable onsite weather condition was one of the challenges faced on the ground level. However, our experience from various extensive set up such as the 28th Southeast Asian Games where we accomplished a Guinness World Record title for The Greatest Light Output In A Projected Image and several Singapore National Day Parades enabled the team to set up efficiently in two weeks."

Hexogon Solution continues to remain at the forefront of digital projection and will continuously strive to break records.
